Amanda joined Risius Family Veterinary Service as an intern while she was completing her degree in Veterinary Technology at Muscatine Community College. In April 2012 Amanda joined the staff full time.
You can usually find Amanda walking or hiking with her three dogs, Freckles the dalmatian, Sarabi the blood hound, and Nala the chiweenie. Amanda also enjoys her feline companions and especially fostering kittens for QC Paws.
At the clinic Amanda enjoys assisting in surgery, dental cleanings, radiography, and she is a Feline Advocate.
