Dr. Collin Post grew up in Blue Grass, Iowa. He went to the University of Iowa and graduated in 2013 with his bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then transferred to Iowa State University Veterinary School, and graduated in 2017 with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. He joined Risius Family Veterinary Service as an associate soon after graduation and joined the ownership team as a partner in 2019. Dr. Collin is one of our mixed animal doctors. He spends time doing both small animal clinical appointments, as well as large animal production medicine. Dr. Collin’s professional interests include small animal surgery and internal medicine, large animal herd health (cattle, sheep and goats), and ensuring food safety from farm to plate. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Collin enjoys spending time with his wife Nicole and their new puppy Teddy. He likes hanging out with family and friends, traveling, golf and enjoys watching (boo!) Iowa sports.
